From XP through to NT, Windows powers the vast
majority of computers on the planet and is Microsoft's biggest
weapon in its assault on PC platforms global domination. Windows
has been operating computer platforms for decades now. We can
all remember the 3.1, 95, and 98 systems that are no longer used.
Although they were very good and served their purpose well,
newer versions of Windows were released onto the market making
the predecessors all but redundant.
Microsoft have
since brought out 2000, the Millennium Edition, and, most recently,
the award winning XE. With these later operating systems, they
come bursting with features such as CD burning software and
drivers for almost any type of hardware and software that you can
imagine. This in itself will save you money on buying other titles,
which should offset the often large price tag, unless of course you
got it with the purchase of your computer. |
